Pick a nation for typical term dates, then split a holiday between two homes. These are planning dates, not your school’s calendar.

No. England and Scotland do not have one national calendar. Wales publishes approved term dates and Northern Ireland publishes non-operational dates, and a school can still close for training days. Check your local council and the school.
Use the GOV.UK school term and holiday dates finder, then confirm with the school. Wales also publishes approved dates, and Northern Ireland publishes them on the Department of Education site.
Alternate weeks gives each home seven days at a time, starting with the home you choose. Split in half gives the first half of the holiday to that home and the second half to the other. If the number of days is odd, the extra day stays with the home that starts.
The days are only half the job. Who pays for half-term childcare when the children have two homes.
Drop the split into a shared calendar so both homes can see who has which week.
