How to request deletion of your Larkling account, what happens in the next 30 days, and how to change your mind.
This page explains how to delete your Larkling account and everything that happens after you ask us to. It works without JavaScript and you do not need the app to read it.
You can request deletion from inside Larkling. Open Settings, then choose Delete account. We will email you to confirm that we have received your request.
You do not have to give a reason. If you would like to tell us why you are leaving, we read every reply.
Deletion is not immediate. When you ask us to delete your account:
During those 30 days your account is closed to normal use. Your data is still on our servers until the purge runs, so that a change of mind is possible.
You can cancel a deletion request at any point during the 30 days. There are two ways to do it:
Cancelling restores your account. Your calendar, messages, journal entries, expenses and documents are all still there, as you left them.
You do not need the app to delete your account. If you cannot sign in, or you no longer have the app, email hello@larklingapp.com from the address registered to your Larkling account, using the subject line “Delete my account”.
We will action the request for you. If we are not sure the message came from you, we may ask you one or two simple questions to confirm your identity. We will never ask you for your password.
Once the 30 days pass, the purge is permanent. We delete:
Deletion cannot be undone once the purge has run.
We keep two small sets of records, because the law requires it:
Nothing else is retained. There is no data left that identifies you in day-to-day use.
Email hello@larklingapp.com if anything on this page is unclear, or if you would like help with a deletion request. Our Privacy Policy explains how we handle your data more generally.
Thank you for using Larkling. We will make this straightforward for you.
